General Questions Mobile Phone Questions
How do I access ViaMobile?

In order to access ViaMobile you need the following:
  • ViaConnect access (valid username and password)
  • A wireless device with an internet connection (see the next question below for supported devices)

Simply enter the mobile website URL: https://m.viacu.org/ into the browser of your internet-enabled wireless device and then login using your ViaConnect username and password. If you aren't registered for ViaConnect, register here.

Which mobile devices are supported for ViaMobile?

You can access Mobile Banking from any internet-enabled mobile phone including:
  • iOS Devices (iPad, iPhone, iTouch)
  • Android Devices
  • Windows Mobile Devices
  • Blackberry Devices
The devices must have an internet connection/data plan.

For a richer experience, you can also download an application by clicking the "download" link presented at the bottom of the login page or by visiting the App StoreSM or Google PlayTM.

How does ViaMobile handle Security?

ViaConnect is encrypted using the Wireless Transport Layer Security (WTLS) protocol, which provides the highest level of security available today. Additionally, all data is encrypted by industry-standard 128-bit SSL encryption preventing cell phone "scanning" or other attempts to eaves-drop on a transmission. No account information is stored on your phone and your password is masked.

Also, when accessing ViaMobile on a third device, a one-time PIN will be issued as an additional security measure. An email will be sent to the address on your account. To complete registration, you must enter a one-time PIN to complete verification and registration.

Is there a fee to use ViaMobile?

No. Mobile Banking is FREE!

However, data rates and accessibility will depend on your device and carrier. Please check with your carrier for specific information regarding data fees.

What services does ViaMobile include?

ViaMobile allows you to:
  • Check Balances
  • Review up to 250 days of transaction history
  • Transfer funds or make loan payments
  • View or pay bills with ViaBill Pay
  • View spending patterns using graphs
  • Locate nearby branches and ATMs

What happens if I get locked out of ViaMobile?

As with ViaConnect, you must call Via Credit Union at 765.674.6631 to unlock your account. If you've forgotten your password, you must reset your password through ViaConnect. For security reasons, you may not change your password using ViaMobile.

Can I use ViaMobile if I don't have access to ViaConnect?

No. You must have a ViaConnect username and password in order to use ViaMobile.

I keep getting locked out of my account when I try and login on my mobile phone. Why doesn't it accept my login information?

Using your mobile phone to enter data takes a little practice. Passwords are case sensitive; make sure you are entering your password exactly as it is set up. If your password begins with a lower case letter, you may need to use your phone's shift key to change the default from upper case. In addition, some phones require extra 'shift' key presses to enter numbers instead of letters.

Why can't I see the first few transactions of my account history?

Due to the screen size on the mobile phone, only a limited amount of information can be displayed. Some mobile phones take you to the middle or bottom of a new page instead of the top. To make sure you are at the top of the page, use the up arrow key on the phone to scroll all the way to the top of the page. If you want to view more information below, use the down arrow key to scroll down until you come to a "More" link. When you click on "More" it will take you to the next page of information.

How do I know if my phone is web-enabled?

If you have a Browser of any kind or Wireless Web on your phone's main menu, then it is web-enabled. Contact your mobile phone carrier to confirm that your phone is web-enabled and that the service is activated.
