4) Dollars. Clearly and completely write the words of the dollar amount in this space. The cents should be written as 00/100.

Examples: $10.00 = Ten Dollars and 00/100. $1,363.24 = One-thousand three-hundred sixty-three dollars and 24/100 (Not: Thirteen-hundred sixty-three...)

Important Tip! The written dollar amount always supersedes the digits. Example: If you write '$10' in the number space and 'One-hundred dollars and 00/100' in the word space, the check amount would legally be for $100 - not $10.
